ETISALAT WINS CREATIVE ADVERT AWARD

Etisalat; Nigeria’s fifth telecommunications operator has emerged winner of the prestigious and highly valued ‘Most Creative Advert of the Year’ award. The recent award was in recognition of the company’s riveting 0809ja campaign which captured and registered on the minds of Nigerians shortly after Etisalat commenced operation in October 2008.

The organizers of the award said that Etisalat won the award for its absorbing 0809ja advert which shows creativity and a message well delivered. “It is creativity that deserves to be rewarded and we are glad to be able to recognize Etisalat for the brilliant campaign” the organizers said. The Director Brands and Communications, Etisalat , Nigeria, Mr Olayinka O. Akande noted that the award shows that the company’s message is well received by the public. He said that the reward shows the brand’s innovative quality and that the network is one to be reckoned with. He reieerated that the many awards that Etisalat had worn are continued reflection of the company’s caring and award winning brand and that the brand’s innovative products are a pleasure to Etisalats teeming subscribers.

Etisalat also won the City People’s ‘Most Innovative Telecom Product of the Year Award’ following the introduction of the 0809uchoose campaign, which gave Nigerians opportunity to choose numbers they want. Also on the International scene, the telecoms brand has received several awards ranging from the Best Customer, Best International Carrier and Best India deal amongst others.
